ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION ENGINEER

Shetland Wind Power Ltd is the UK’s leading Stockist of Proven Energy Ltd’s wind turbine systems. Our company is expanding rapidly and we now require an electrical installation engineer for our new                                                          Distribution Base at Stirling.

The successful candidate should be:

  • Qualified Electrician with 16th Edition
  • Experience in Electrical control equipment installation
  • Trained and experienced in fault finding
  • Demonstrable Excellence in customer service skills
  • Prepared to travel UK wide installing our products.
  • Practical mechanical skills advantageous
  • Clean current driving license essential
     

Duties would involve:

  • Installation of Turbine Control and associated equipment
  • Commissioning of Wind Turbine Systems
  • Testing of associated equipment
  • Salary and benefits dependant on experience.

EXPERIENCED IN DESIGN * SUPPLY * INSTALLATION

Shetland Wind Power Ltd provide complete, cost-effective micro renewable energy solutions for domestic, public and private sectors.

We are looking for fully trained Mechanical and Electrical Contractors to help us with our installations.

The applicant should hold a recognized electrical construction accreditation and be a member of relevant trade organisations, such as CORGI, NIC EIC and/or SELECT.

Desirable skills, qualifications and experience of the applicant include:

  • Experience in:
    • working at heights
    • working with DC
    • working with inverter battery systems
    • connecting generating equipment
    • operating access and lifting equipment with appropriate IPAF training
    • working on live construction sites
  • Other relevant qualifications:
    • relevant plumbing/heating qualifications (un-vented hot water, etc.)
    • managing a team of contractors
    • conduct risk assessment and method statement
    • knowledge of health and safety regulations
    • producing operation and maintenance manuals
    • estimating and tendering
